Aave Whales On The Move: Record Transactions And Blockchain Capital’s Big Play

Activity among Aave’s largest holders has surged, with last week witnessing 3,310 transactions exceeding $100,000 in $AAVE—the highest weekly total since 2022.

This heightened activity suggests a renewed focus on the token by major players.

Blockchain Capital, a prominent holder of $AAVE, has also made significant moves. Following its initial sale of $ENS on November 30, the firm today transferred out $AAVE for the first time. Specifically, 16,964 $AAVE tokens, worth approximately $5.04 million, were sent to FalconX, an institutional trading brokerage, just four hours ago.

Blockchain Capital’s involvement with $AAVE dates back to October 2020, with the firm accumulating 233,000 tokens at an average price of $94 per token between then and March 2023. With $AAVE now trading at $314, the firm’s floating profit on this position has reached an impressive $51.31 million. Despite today’s sale, Blockchain Capital continues to hold a sizable position of 216,000 $AAVE, valued at $67.12 million.

This activity underscores a broader trend of rising interest in $AAVE among whales and institutional investors, potentially fueled by the token’s strong price performance. As $AAVE continues to climb, the actions of major holders like Blockchain Capital could play a pivotal role in shaping market dynamics. Investors may want to keep a close eye on whale movements, as they often signal key shifts in market sentiment and liquidity flows.
