Lykke Corp Faces Cyber Attack, Over $22 Million In Crypto Stolen

On June 4, Lykke UK and Lykke Corp AG (Lykke) experienced a significant cyber attack that compromised their infrastructure.

In response, the affected systems were promptly shut down to mitigate further damage. An extensive review of the security breach was conducted, and all identified vulnerabilities have been addressed.

The internal investigation revealed that the attacker had stolen over $22 million in cryptocurrency assets. The investigation also pinpointed the IP addresses associated with the perpetrator. A criminal investigation has been initiated, and Lykke has engaged an external cybersecurity firm to aid in blocking and recovering the stolen assets.

Hacker Transfers $4.7 Million In DAI To New Address 

Recent updates from Cyver alert indicate that the attacker has since transferred $4.7 million worth of DAI to a new address. This development underscores the ongoing efforts to track and reclaim the stolen funds.
