CloudMoolah’s XMOO Token Gains Listing on Coinsuper

The symbiotic relationship that exists between cryptocurrency exchanges and the currencies they list is self-evident; neither can exist without the other. A cryptocurrency would remain unknown as traders would simply be unaware of it, unless it was listed on a traditional, centralised exchange. Without cryptocurrencies to list, a decentralised exchange would perform no useful function and would therefore be redundant.

Getting your new currency listed on exchanges is therefore essential for any blockchain project. Cloud Alliance (commonly known as CloudMoolah) will have been well aware of this as they announced the first listing of their MOO token (XMOO), on leading crypto exchange Coinsuper. The announcement came in Singapore on August 29th (which marked the start of trading), with the news following on from CloudMoolah’s successful token sale in April 2018, which raised $15 million.

MOO Token (XMOO) and MOO Store

XMOO will be used as currency to pay for games, as well as a means by which game developers can access publishing, marketing and localisation services at a special rate through the MOO Store, which is being developed jointly by Cloud Alliance and leading game technology company Unity Technologies. In a coup for Cloud Alliance, the MOO Store will be the sole Unity Distribution Platform partner for Southeast Asia, making life simpler for Unity developers, in terms of publishing and monetisation. The games market in the region is currently fragmented, with developers having to jump through hoops when trying to get their apps published in app stores, due to long and complex integration processes. MOO Store’s creators hope that it will streamline the publishing process, at the same time as offering value-added services such as customised curation and content localisation.

CloudMoolah: A Combined Content and Payment Solution

Cloud Alliance describe their flagship product, CloudMoolah, as “a comprehensive content and payment aggregator that allows game developers and gamers and payment merchants to conveniently, securely manage payment matters across the world.” CloudMoolah is integrated with the well-established game development platform Unity, meaning Unity developers can activate in-app revenue streams linked to over 500,000 point of sales systems in the Southeast Asia region, where fewer than 3 percent of people currently use a credit card.

Cloud Alliance/CloudMoolah

Singapore-based technology firm Cloud Alliance are passionate about games and believe that gamers in Asia deserve the same quality of service as those in other territories, a situation they say has not existed so far. The company boasts over 30 years of collective experience in the fields of video game publishing and payment systems in Asia.

Looking to the Future

With a massive number of gamers and potential gamers resident in Southeast Asia and the rest of the region, opportunities abound for progressive blockchain and game companies, especially when they join forces. CloudMoolah’s streamlining of the publishing and monetisation processes, combined with its other areas of expertise and an exclusive deal with gaming heavyweight Unity Technologies surely put it in a strong position to take advantage of this — a situation both gamers and game developers may well be excited about.
